The ASUU OOU chairman, Dr. Agboola in conjunction with ASUU past
chairman went on Rockcity 101.9 fm today, to discuss the ongoing OOU
ASUU strike with members of the public. Dr Agboola said that "the only
way the government can get rid of this(the strike mess) is to accept
the fact that he is owing them their subventions and find a possible
solution to it rather than saying he is not owing anybody".
They further made it clear that the management of the school are trying all possible best they can by contributing 10% of their allowance for the development of the University.
They later disclosed that until the government do their own part "the University will not move forward". Dr agboola added that "An hungry man is an angry man, no payment, no work."
During the course of the session, the public were also given room to air their opinion.
One Babatunde Charles said ASUU doesn't need to appeal for their right, they just have to claim it.
Another contributor who identified himself as Waheed from Abeokuta said the people should just try and understand the government.
